LIAM 363 – The Prodigal Father

Many people know the story of “The Prodigal Son.” When I ask people what they think the word “prodigal” means, they say something like “someone who goes out to live wildly but comes home broken and begging for forgiveness.” They link the word “prodigal” to the coming home broken. That’s not what it means, though. The word “prodigal” means “someone who spends or gives lavishly.” In this episode, I propose that it was not the son who was “prodigal;” it was the Father.
